I love change. {big pause} Okay, that's not entirely true.
I love change that I:
(a) know of way in advance,
(b) am happy about, and
(c) have some sort of control over.
When it comes to being flexible, I'm not. I try, oh how I try! But my mind just gets so wrapped up in what I already know that a sudden change in plans puts my head and heart in a tailspin. {{Sorry Honey...that's my high-maintenance quality you're so used to. Love you!}}
So, knowing my change parameters, it should be no surprise that I revamped my blog a bit. I wanted to change it, I was happy about the change, and I had complete control over it. Sigh. I really just changed the colors, added a background ala Cutest Blog On The Block, and changed my cute baking gal back to a happy pastel {from the former Christmas motif}.
I am such a visual creature, relying very much on colors and design to set my emotional happy-meter! It's been tough for me this last year to want to redesign my blog but not having the know-how in my noggin yet. Hmm, this sounds like a future post.
Anyway, another reason for my bloggy alteration is in honor of Birthday Season! Yep, it's a season here at my house. January is the beginning with mine and Hubby's birthdays just days apart. Ahem...and only 1 year difference, thankyouverymuch. {{Learn to count, Sweetie.}}
Next in line of the birthday holidays is Catz's big day in February. My sweet girl will be 14 this year. What a lovely young lady. Sigh. And finishing the season in March is MrC's fabuloso day. Wow, is 12 already here? He's growing sooo tall...I'll be looking up at him soon!
I like my new blog look. The sweet cupcakes go with my bloggy name very well. After all, muffins are just an excuse to eat cake for breakfast.
And as for change and being flexible? I'm working on that. Oh, and the control thing too. Good thing this is January...God's blessed me with room to improve!

ReplyDeleteLearn to count!
I know how to count! Here, follow my process...
1. Four for days in January
2. I take my age
4. Subtract your age
5. and I come up with a negative number
3. ummm, that's not right?
6. no wait
10. I take your age
11. Subtract my age
12. equals 2
6. There! I did it! You are two years ol...
7. Um, never mind, love you four ever dear.
